Parents’ frequently asked questions
What should I bring to the first visit?
Bring previous reports and imaging if available, and a list of your child’s medicines or treatments. Note when the concern began and what makes it better or worse.
Does every condition need surgery?
No. Many conditions need observation or non-surgical care. Options depend on your child’s age, examination and how movement is affected.
When should I seek urgent care?
Seek urgent care for severe worsening pain, a cold or discoloured limb, loss of sensation, or an injury with an open wound. Fever with joint pain and refusal to walk needs urgent assessment.
